Surprised Even Myself with New '08 G35xS

Just wanted to say hi to fellow G owners after picking up a Blue Slate over Graphite G35xS w/Premium and Sport packages. I was going for another pony car like the new Challenger or another Mustang, but was "converted" after a spirited test drive. Things only got better from there after learning all about the car and giving it its first full detail. I'm in new territory and lovin' every minute.

My first "mod" may have to be snow tires since I'm in the Northeast, but the winter will gimme enough time to read and digest forums like these so I can go crazy come spring.

Congrats! Fine choice. I have the exact same car, except with the nav.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I'll snap a few pics when we get a good sunny day - hopefully there will be enough leaves left on the trees for a spectacular fall shot.

The dealer was worried when I "demanded" no prep, wash or dealer logos on the car, but it turned out great when detailing it as there's no dealer-installed scratches or swirl marks, and it's been warm enough to give the G a proper full 5 step detail, mostly using Meguiars Pro Mirror Glaze products.

I'm in CT, and thanks for the Hankook w300 recommendation. All I'm really familiar with is the Blizzaks, and they do make the LM-25 that seems like it would work with the Sport wheels, but I have to do some homework there.

Congrats!

Congrats on your new car! I'm expecting delivery on my new G35x prem/nav/tech in West Haven, CT next week! I had no idea before reading your post that you can ask the dealer not to wash nor put stickers on the car. Should I get the car detailed and sealed before driving it around much? Where is a good place to do so in the area?

Congrats on the car! Ours is similar except black/stone with nav and tech packages.

No snow tires though here in MN, fighting it out on the stock dunlops
