New Garnet Fire owner!

Just got my 05' garnet fire today! Talk about a new years present...hehe... I have a 6mt, which is a blast, and the premium package (bose+memory seats means that right?) the sales guy also said it had the sports package, but is there a defacto way of knowing? I think I read some where that the struts are red on the sports package? Either way, I LOVE the car.

Coming from a 98' automatic civic EX (127 @ the crank says honda.. I say 95hp to the ground because of how mean I was to it), this thing feels like a rocket! I literally am used to flooring it in first, and by the time I was doing about 60 or so in the civic, I was doing 85mph in the G. What a blast!

I'll post Pics tomorrow when the sun comes out, but I personally think it's the best G color. Also, what's the best way to approach the Infiniti dealer about the Oil consumption TSB? I don't know if it even has the issue yet, but I want to get it checked out before the warrantee is gone. But I heard it was pretty common on 6mt rev-ups...

sorry for the long post...

p.s. LOVE the maxipad in the trunk...that's HILARIOUS.

GF is a really nice color. Congrats.

FYI - The sport suspension is red, at least it was in 03-04. Might be the same for 05.

Struts only, through 05. See the sticky in the sedan section for everything you ever wanted to know about sedans but were too noob to ask.

Love GF, btw, that's the only colour I'd buy in an 05.

Pics as promised!

There's nothing like coming out of a grocery store, walking the extra distance past ugly car after ugly car, only to see this thing parked all by itself in all its glory....

Congrats on the GF! Beautiful!! and 6mt FTW! I am pretty sure that 05 and up are a hit and miss for the red struts. Mine does not have red struts, but does have the sport suspension. I CAN tell you ALL 6MT models come with the sport suspension, unless it has be modified post-purchase. I only know this b/c I am the research QUEEN...lol, oh and b/c I just bought Z springs/struts and needed all this info prior to purchase. The aero and prem options are not standard, although most of the 6MT's did opt for them too.
Enjoy your new G! And 6MT FTW!!!

^+1000 I can relate. I still get that high everytime I get into my car in public and ppl around me stare and whistle, lmao! Of course they're wistling at my G! . Oh and all the neighbors passing and slowing down while I wash her. AND the 2 guys that NEVER rev their cars when they pass anymore .

85 ? that it, try 180+ sorry I was not in the G and don't promote any street racing, but when you had a fast car, that left foot getting itchy all the time....
