Short newbie intro

Just a quick intro.

Newbie to this forum, but been on Maxima.org since August 2000. Still on there since my dad and brother both own 4th gen Maximas. I, however, have moved on from the Maximas (and fwd).

Just doing some research on the Gs, as I'm hoping to persuade them to move on from the Maximas but stay in the Nissan fold.

Three questions:
Are they drive by wire (one thing i hate on my IS300)?
Can I use regular/mid level gas, or is premium required?
When is Tim going to finish the sedan differences over the years? (I did a quick read)

My two cars listed in sig. I'm a Nissan and Toyota (Lexus) guy. Not really a Honda fan.

P.S.

I saw a familiar sn from the maxima.org forum: Jeff92se

Welcome to the Driver and I'm sure you will have all your questions answered and more.
The only answer I will give you is #2, simply b/c I have no idea about #1 and will not speak for Tim - who is a very busy, but EXTREMELY helpful, G guru.
I believe (correct me if I'm wrong fellas) on the Coupe is says Required, on the Sedan it says recommended. Or vice versa. However, almost ALL of us would recommend using at least Plus....I said most .
Not to mention you get better gas mileage, it burns cleaner, and you won't have that question in the back of your mind later - God forbid - you hear a funny noise or car acts sluggish. I said in another thread, kinda like smoking when your preggy, if you just dont do it, you never have to wonder if the asthma was hereditary. Get my drift?
I hope you find what you are looking for, GL to you!

Thanks Amanda!

I read somewhere that they found another 25 hp when a 350Z was retuned to remove the lower grade gas map from the ecu and made to run strictly on 91 pump gas.
