Another New G Owner Here...

Hey all, just picked up an '04 Twilight Blue Pearl 5AT Coupe this past weekend in Atlanta (I live in KY), 23k miles. I'm not new to the tuner scene as I'm in the process of scrapping my 5th gen Prelude (fully built motor, supercharged), but I am new to Infiniti/Nissan motors/styling altogether...so if I have any questions, I know where to come now

I must say I'm glad to finally be sitting myself in a classier ride (couldn't let the wife's IS show me up anymore, lol), and I find the styling of the G to be *pristine*. I will probably be hitting up a lot of DIY forums for stock maintenance items on the car, so maybe you guys could point me in the right direction when the time comes...

Not looking to modify the car's engine performance from the stock setup, already been down that money-pit road with the previous car (plus I will be a family man soon and I need to focus my enthusiasm somewhere else, lol), but I would like to do some cosmetic upgrades along the way (wheels, lip, etc). I've been reading for a few months on this site now and I've seen many well done, tasteful rids here, so I know I'm in the right place. You'll have to forgive any newb questions I might have along the way, but I'm pretty fluent with the search function, so hopefully you won't see too many

Anyways, the name's Brad and glad to be on board. Thanks.

Welcome, the G is an awesome car to have a decent amount of power, good reliability, and a beautiful car. I agree with you on the performance aspect, it also turns out to be a huge money pit, especially n/a when you compare it to going fi.

Things such as wheels, lips, sides, w/e are a great start, along with clear corners, debadging for a clean look, etc are a great start.

As far as "performance" I think a ztube/jwt popcharger intake combo is a great addition just for the nice tone. As well as choosing your favorite exhaust for your price range.

Good luck

Yeah, I was originally looking for black on black, but instantly fell in love with TB when I saw it...I have been reading about the Z-Tube and I may be interested in doing that. Also, as far as wheels, I'm officially dead set on the staggered look, it's an extremely hott look on these cars, so I'll be keeping my eye open for the perfect set...

I have one tiny bulb that's blown out on the passenger side (that little light strip that runs down the headlight) and it blows my mind that I have to pull back the fender well cover to get to it, lol. The Prelude was a cinch to change bulbs...Anyways, thanks guys!
