new owner.. kinda sorta happy

I drove 4 hours down to texas to get myself a black 2006 infiniti g35 coupe

was looking at several different ones but because dealerships like to dick ya around a lot, i ended up getting this one because my first 2 choices werent good. one = dealer "forgot" to take it out of warehouse after we said we'd be there to pick it up that afternoon. two = both window motors were shot and oil leak somewhere

this one is alright for the price. $16.5k

been in a minor accident. front bumper cracked, left rear side is scratched and dealer tried putting touch up paint on it, driver side window is pooping out on me (goes up then back down half way on auto), 64k miles, automatic, one owner = lease...

aside from all of that, i love it. i just need to cosmetically repair the outside and fix the driver side window and its gravy.

but this is my first car, ive only had a Honda Cbr 600 f4 sports bike up till now.. so hopefully my baby will last me a while.

its an easy fix to reset. pop the panel off and the motor has a little rubber button, hold that in and run the window down and then up without the auto and it will be good to go

quick question and i didnt want to open a new thread hopefully someone can help me here...

dealer said he is going to "fix" the crack in my front bumper by soldering it together and painting it... is that gonna be a "fix" or is it just gonna look like my front bumper got painted at the place where the crack was.. whacha think

Hes gonna "solder" it back together?!? Where exactly is it cracked? And no, this is just dumb in my opinion. Hes tryin to blow you off by patching the issue. Where in dallas did you buy it?

if your gonna spend 600 on two rear struts might as well get some coilovers for a couple hundred more

soldering is used primarily for electrical wiring... im not sure what your dealer is talking about, but he may be referring to a hard-drying epoxy, sanding it down, and then painting over it. at best (with proper blending) it will look wierd. just my 2c.
