I had to get rid of the mullet before I could even get in the G .

SioxFalls, the power difference is quite noticible. My LS1 was completely stock. I raced a 05 350z 6MT which was also stock and I put a little less than 3 cars on him. The 350z ran a 13.9 at the track, our race was right around the quarter mile length maybe a tad longer. I never took the camaro to the track, so couldn't tell you the time. These cars pull very hard for a six cylinder, but the LS1 does not stop pulling no matter what gear or what RPM.

I'm glad I got it out of my system, because from looking at the engine tech forum, it looks like it takes a lot of $$ to get some ponies out of this car.

Sorry if this seems like a thread jack, but I just wanted to offer some more detailed comparisons since I too went from an LS1 Camaro to a G35 coupe.

Let's put it this way. With just an intake, my LS1 Camaro 6-spd put down 315whp/330wtq. My G35 6MT as it sits now put down 250whp/223wtq. Both cars weigh almost the same, at 3400-3500lbs. You DEFINITELY notice the extra 100 ft-lbs of torque lol. Also, my Camaro trapped 107mph 100% bone stock, and with just the intake it trapped almost 109mph. My G bone stock trapped 102mph and now traps 103mph. The 6mph difference is definitely noticeable, but what really makes the difference is how quickly you accelerate due to the extra torque.

Another comparative note - the G35 accelerates moderately well all things considered. But once you get above say 110-120 mph, or basically once you hit 5th gear, time... stands... still. I only got mine up to 140mph once, and its just not easy to do since it takes sooooo long. On the contrary, the Camaro tops out 4th gear in a hurry at 135mph, and once or twice I kept on it WOT into 5th gear and the summabish STILL pulled like a freight train on up to about 150mph before I let off. And that was with the windows down and the t-tops off, which adds a LOT of drag at those speeds lol.

I never got too many runs in with the Camaro at the track, so the ET's don't really reflect the cars power. But for the point of discussion, it went 13.5 @ 108.6mph on a 2.38 60ft. If that was even a 2.0 60ft, its in the 12s. I have two friends who both ran 12.80's @ 110mph in bone stock Fbodies (one a Z28 and the other a Trans Am, both 6-spds on street tires). Not that was in mine shaft cold air temps, but still shows how strong these cars can be stock.

And here are track and dyno videos of both cars for visual comparison...

My Z28 dyno:
My Z28 1/4 mile:
(spun like a **** all thru 1st gear)

My G35 dyno:
My G35 1/4 mile:
(this is stock, don't have my 13.79 on video)

And dyno charts for comparison...

Buy a Jim Wolf twin Turbo kit and you will never think about an LS1 ever again.

haha Sylvan that may be very true, but i just find it silly to put that much money under the hood of a slower car when I didn't do all that to a significantly faster car. This is just going to be my "slower" and sexy car . A few exterior mods, a few audio mods and I'm gonna call it a day.

Put an F1 Procharger on an LS1 and you won't have enough blood left in your head to let you think.
