Hi I'm the proud new owner of an automatic 04 G35. Had the car for a couple of weeks. I'm loving the car just got rid of a 3.5 Altima a few months ago but this is way better. Anyone in the Killeen/Ft Hood area? I know a lot of Gs and Zs meet at Starbucks on Ft Hood Street but I can't find any info on the group online.

Thanks, I actually bought it in Austin. I grew up wanting a 300ZX but I have kids so when the G35 came out I had to have one. I couldn't justify the Z to the wife because I also have a motorcycle.

I can't find anything on the Killeen group. I saw them a few times before I purcased my car but didn't pay any attention to what day they meet because my original plan was to buy my second Mustang. I'll see if I can't make it to Austin as long as you guys don't mind a bone stock car cramping your style.

We meet every Friday night somewhere, usually in North Austin. Check the site for the Comida and Cars thread. It will always have a location for that weeks meet.

There really isn't a "Killeen group" website or anything as far as I know. I just know they meet up there at that Starbucks on Thursdays or whatever. I haven't made it out there to check it out.

I'm on base during the weekday. I'm in Houston on the weekends. You should definitely check out the CentexVQ guys in Austin since they're not too far away from us.

Where are you at on Ft. Hood? I stay on West Hood.

615th ASB, 1 ACB, 1 CD. I'm about to ETS in like 2 months though.

Edit: Did I see you on HWY 190 awhile back? Like close to the Main Gate? The G I was "cruising" with exited towards Main Gate and I kept going towards West Hood.

 

very possible i usually go through the 79th street gate but yesterday or monday i used the main gate. i'm in 13th ESC (the old COSCOM) 553 CSB we're on the Cav side of post, we actually do PT right behind your 1st CAV HQ. There are quite a few Gs and Zs on Hood, a 350Z was weaving through traffic chasing me down this morning but he got off at the main gate and I kept going to the 79th Street Gate going towards Clear Creek.

great minds think alike, i just asked if you were at hood on another thread. what unit are you with? i see from previous threads you're pushing some serious power. i heard a lot of guys go to temple and hit the drag strip. have you ever been up there? i have a bike but was told the traction is not the greatest there so i haven't taken the bike up there.

 

I have not been to the track yet. Hopefully I will be able to make it out there sometime this summer. Things have just been hectic lately. I actually started parting out my car but now I am thinking about keeping it lol.
