Oh, the waiting!!! My 2004 G35 is on the way

Hello all,

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my (new to me) 2004 G35 Coupe. The car was originally my husband's, but he had sold it to his father before we met. With just a little bit of coercion the G is now mine, shipping back to SoCal from Virginia, it leaves on July 18th. Mileage is 52,000.

It has: Automatic, leather, sunroof, dual AC, Bose stereo, 18" wheels, and Nav...The car is beautiful.

While it was my hubby's (it's MINE now!!!), he added: Stillen exhaust, Stillen underdrive pulleys, Stillen grounding kit, K&N Typhoon cold-air intake, ECU re-tune by TECHNOSQUARE, and he removed all of the badges and lettering.

Here's my new baby:

Just wanted to say hello before I start asking questions about hooking up my iPod, getting Bluetooth, and maybe Sat radio...

Hello Mr.G35, welcome to DRIVER! Nice clean coupe and it's all yours.... Your husband made some very nice mods so I'm guessing he wasn't the one that added those terrible grilles....right? If we can do anything to get you back to OE or one of Ionics grilles like I have let us know.

My G was loaded into the carrier this morning, beginning it's trek from Virginia to Southern Cal. Hooray! Should be here in 7-10 days.

Yes, it WAS my husband who did all of the mods to the car including the billet grilles. When I told him you guys were clowning on his poor taste he said, "Hey in 2004 it was HOT!!!". I really like the clean look of the front, I certainly don't want one with a giant hole in the center, no offense, but maybe it IS time to freshen it up a bit.

I was looking at the Ionics OEM style, badgeless, but I'm not sure I want black??? Anyone seen one painted DG to match?

Thanks for the hellos and the critiques, fact is I love the look of the car so maybe I will just rock the retro billet for a bit, eh?

In 2004, that grill was cool.. There was that or the stillen.. there are several grills out there now, i think a black painted oem grill with an oem G35 emblem will do your car justice.. if it ws painted DG, it wouldn't look good IMO.. but it's yours... do wutcha like... welcome to the g fam..
