Aloha!

Aloha everyone!

After a long search I just bought my first G35. It's an 07 6-spd M/T, by far the coolest car I've ever had. No work done to it at this point but time will tell..

This forum seems like it's full of a lot of dedicated folks, so thanks in advance for any advice!

I do have 2 questions I'm looking into at this point, so if you read this and a helpful post comes to mind I'd love to read it.
  • Why does it say "REV" on my dash? I looked in the manual and all I can find is that that's where the shift indicator light flashes.. which I could care less about right now
  • Has anybody replaced the spring actions for their seatbelts? Mine are weak and it bugs me

Thank again for the great forum! See you around. Mahalo..

Welcome to DRIVER....=OD

I've had the same issue with that seat belt return spring since day one! I even left my coupe at the stealership for a whole day for them to replace the spring, nothing changed. The only real fix is for you to train yourself to feed the belt back every time you leave your ride. That's the only major issue I have with SLICK. I believe REV on your dash cluster indicates you have a REVUP motor which all 6MTs have those years '05 thru '07. Enjoy your new very clean ride....

Welcome, and you can set the rev.. I just bought my 06 a week ago. I don't like the flashing so I set it higher. The button on ur cluster press it till u see a rpm setting then hold the button till it flashes then then as u push it will go higher. I set mine at 7000. hope that helps.. Oh and congrads on the clean G.

Thanks everyone, I'm totally stoked about this car. It's easily the coolest thing I've ever driven, I still can't believe it's really mine.

At this point, there really isn't much I even want to do but maybe just a little lower, tint, and some loud 12's for the trunk.

Thanks for the responses, I'll see everyone around!

Congrats and welcome to the fam! you've got the answers 1. relearn seatbelt management (such a pain for such a nice car lol) 2. built in shift light from the factory for ya...I like to set mine @ 3K so if I let anyone drive my car (rare) they freak out around 4k

Haha, I let my roommate drive it yesterday and he was pretty happy. I came home from work and he was like, "So I told my friend I drove a G35 today.."

Tell me about it, at least here on the Big Island there are very few. I looked for weeks before I found this one. I saw an 03 green sedan and turned it down, and I almost bought an 05 silver sedan but (luckily) I was too late.

Funny story actually, I saw this guy leaving a silver sedan in the parking lot at work the other day. I asked him about it and it turns out it's the one I had wanted to buy! He said he loves it, so I'm happy for him. Small world..

Haha, I lived in Cali for a long time, then moved back here to the BI. I was up in Sonoma for about 5 years, and then down to Ventura for 3. Where in Cali are you?
