From Ls1 iroc to G35, New G owner! (pics)

Whats up guys/girls. I just recently picked up a new(to me) G35 Sedan, OB with black interior. So far I love it, alot more 'comfortable' then what I am used to .

here is my old 1989 Ls1-swapped Iroc-Z28, it was a blast to drive.

This is the day after I first bought my g35

So far I have just tinted the windows (5%), debadged the g35 emblem, installed custom exhaust, tinted the side markers, and added a flat black g35driver.com decal lol

Any advice would be cool, next up is wheels and lowering.

Looks good, what'd you do with the exhaust?...How many miles? May want to do some maintenance before dropping it like solid bushings so that ride quality isn't sacrificed.

Thanks. Well, my dad owns a custom exhaust shop so I change the exhaust on my cars all the time, but for now I just removed the huge resonator that was up under it. I plan on doing full cat-back in the future, but this is my first import so I don't really know what sounds good yet lol. It has right at 92k miles on it.

Good to see another driver local.

As far as exhaust, honestly, the VQ seems to tend to sound pretty good no matter what setup you throw at it. Something about this motor's exhaust note is gnarly, even straight-piped.

Nice, you can put together a custom setup that will sound a lot better than complete aftermarket systems and save your self a ton of money. We have a sedan exhaust compilation thread i'm sure you'll find here soon. A good setup would be a 12/18" vibrant resonator in the center and a magnaflow muffler outback #14815 tends to be the popular choice.

Yeah, no, definitely can't afford those.

Wish I could, though.

That is what I'll miss most from my camaro...mullet jokes haha. I checked out your wheels and they would look great, but my wallet is still a little sore from buying the car. It needs some time to recover before I buy wheels lol.

What part of Nashville are you local to? I know the TennSpeed forum has meets every Thursday at Tennessee Speed Sport in Rivergate. Or they were...not sure if they still are.

They do a Cars and Coffee once a month down in Cool Springs area, too. But the guys that show up tend to be guys with big money cars.
