New G owner

Just picked up this 04 yesterday to replace my A4 that was totaled 2 weeks ago (RIP). 60k on the nuts, single previous owner, very well maintained and undercoated, 6mt, Desert Platinum with Willow leather interior. Loving it so far but havent had too much seat time in it yet with work but i have a long weekend ahead of me

This is the only picture i have right now. ill get a couple more this week.

climate control issue?

I just purchased a coupe the other day and i noticed something interesting with the climate control. im not sure if this is normal or not. But, when I have the heat on, the controls indicate that it is pulling air form outside the car. If i push the button to recirculate the air, it automatically turns the A/C on. is this normal? every other car ive owned has let me recirc the air with the heat on. but it wont seem to let me do it in the G.

the door guard? honestly I have no idea if that is factory or not. It looks like it, but if its not they did a damn good job at color matching. ha

For now it's gonna remain stock. However I will be doing some exhaust work soon to try and sexify the sound up a little. I have some other projects to finish before I touch the G. But since it has decently low miles I would like to SC it at some point

center cup holder?

I have an 04' coupe, and ive tried looking around online a bit but didnt come up with a concrete answer. in the center console, (behind the shifter underneath the sliding cover) I cant figure out if theres supposed to be an insert in there for a cup holder. when i slide back the little cover, theres just an empty square space. i can put cans and what not into it, but they slide around tip over if im driving. it looks like theres supposed to be an insert that goes into to actually "hold drinks" but i dont have it. I have the one farther back if you flip up the lid on the storage bin, but theyre too far back and it makes it awkward to drive. am i crazy? or am i just missing a piece?

thanks

unfortunately,
they don't come seperately for that, and you have to buy the whole cup holder assembly
68430-AL810 - non black -
68430-AL811 - black
$200 shipped
