Thank you! I like the BMW the most. But I have really only driven the G35 for three weeks before it got winter stored. I guess only time will tell. Can't wait to install the double din, amd I just picked up oem winter mats!

Haha, sorry buddy, I never buy and tell!

Although, I will tell you it was a steal! :P I paid around the same amount as you would for one with about 100,000 + kms...

Interesting that you would say that. What BMW did you come from? I really miss mine, but at the same time I'm not paying for one so I can't complain!

Eh bimmer welcome to the group. I do see a lot of guys in here say they like their g better- maybe because modding it to be their OWN car is more affordable. I'm not sure if the performance can compare- again a lot of performance engineered into the bimmer- buuuuut I'm told the MTs are still fun to drive and the G is timeless in its style.

Excellent choice to update to the double din setup- for really good sound experience speakers will be a likely next upgrade. Those A pillar tweeters, the lower door and back deck for sure. Many just disconnect the ones behind the door. Don't need a big sub or amp or anything just better quality speakers will make a huge difference.

See you in the forums!

Is it necessary to upgrade the speakers? I am quite fond of the OEM system, and I wasn't really looking to spend all that much on the audio. My main reason for going double din is because I wanted satellite radio and am not a big fan of the receivers. I wanted to achieve an OEM look. I figured since I was going double din, I may as well go all out with GPS and everything.

And for sure, this car is much more affordable than my 335i for sure.

Oh- the speaker upgrade is completely OEM look... it all happens behind the screens- you don't really figure out how weak the OEM speakers themselves are until you upgrade them. Doesn't sound like it's a priority- and if the sound suits you so far then no reason to upgrade them. I have some other things going on that makes the interior a bit louder than stock so I enjoy having some really smooth audio to cover it up.
