Greetings from a Newb.
Hey there. Been creeping the forum for a couple of weeks, but I just joined today in recognition of my purchase of a squeaky-clean 2004 6MT sedan.
I'm Morgan, and I live in Victoria BC (to the geographically-challenged, it's in Canada). I'm a "trpily", that is I am a Canadian, American, and British citizen (long story).
I work as a location scout/production manager in the local film/TV industry, and I'm an MP in the Army Reserve. I'm also a Freemason.
What else about me? I'm pretty boring. Really into classic Brit bikes, Lego, and running. No kids, but a cool girlfriend and a pretty fine life here in "Canada's Florida". Got a palm tree in the back-yard and everything!
I've had a bunch of cars over the years, ranging from the basic (AMC Concord wagon - first car) to the exotic ('73 Pantera - didn't buy it; won it as part of a legal dispute settlement. Terrible car, really), to the luxurious ('91 740iL - certainly a love/hate relationship) to the *****-out fun ('97 Jag XK8 convertible - loved it, but sold it when the warranty expired, for obvious reasons), a 1992 Miata SE (fun but impractically small), and a '76 MGB (Best $500 I ever spent.... or at least will admit to spending), and the rugged ('92 YJ, trail-built Toyota 4x4s including a bunch of 4Runners and a '94 Land Cruiser). I've had a bunch of bikes, too. Presently my daily driver is a 1972 Triumph Trident V, which runs flawlessly but is a deathtrap.
This is my first Nissan, but my mom has had two and they've proven themselves to be great cars.
But enough about me... here's my "new" G35:
2004 sedan 6MT with everything except Bose/Nav, and it has the basic rearview mirror.
One-owner US import from Florida, with 65,000 miles on the clock. I cannot stress how well looked after this car is. The dealer service book has absolutely everything, and the car came with all manuals, the cargo net, trunk mat, the first aid kit (unused) and even the original dealer sticker ($31,455 at South Motors Infiniti in Miami!).
I have only been driving it for about a day, but I can already tell that this one joins the Jaguar as the only vehicles in which I don't feel a need to change a thing. The only criticism I have - and it's a minor one - is that it sits too high. I sense a set of Z springs in my future, maybe. Also, the (stock) stereo cuts in and out, so if I can't fix it I'll replace it with an aftermarket double-din with Bluetooth, Nav, and all mod cons.
Anyway... enough typing. Here's my car:

I forgot to mention that I wasn't really looking for a G35 specifically. I was shopping for a 3-series or an M5, or one of the RWD Lexus sedans. I was hesitant to buy another BMW after having had one previously (great cars but oy the cost of keeping them on the road!)
To be honest I didn't even know the Infiniti was RWD until a friend of mine told me. I looked at a 2002 Q45 and an 06 350Z before I bought my 35, but the Q was a bit large, the Z a bit small, and the G's manual gearbox sold me pretty much right away.
