Pretyy plain Jane, sons first ride
Hey glad to be part of this forum, new to the g 35 coupe world and having some issues, this is my son's first ride, we have had to do some work to it but has been great so far until he took the radiator out of it lol....

Unfortunately he also ran the transmission out of oil and fried it...
Not knowing a lot about these units I swapped what I thought was a correct transmission but the engine now has no throttle response.
Seems we have installed a 2004 transmission into a 2006 .....
Any one know if this is what is creating our issue ? As I have kind of read some info but would really like an opinion from someone who may know.

I would disassemble both transmissions and take the valve body and TCM out of the original transmission and put it in the new replacement transmission. you probably have some kind of issue with the TCM which is mounted on the back of the valve body.

It's a pretty straightforward replacement, look up the installation instructions for the transgo shift kit and it will give you a good idea what you need to do. It's just a bunch of bolts it's not actually hard to replace.

The other option is to take the vehicle to Nissan / Infiniti and have them program the TCM.

Just to verify the harness was the same on both transmissions right? Should have been a single large gray harness connector directly on the transmission and not the three individual green harnesses from the early model transmission right?
