new kid on the block
Looks great man...good as new!!
I noticed you painted the OEM 18's...do you mind telling me some details and steps you took to make that happen? (what color/product? how much? did you do the work? etc...)
Personally I think the darker, gun-metalish wheels go well with the car color.

Definitely with you on the darker wheels, i used plasti dip( anthracite grey) and some plasti dip glossifier. I just took off the wheels cleaned them real good and then cleaned them again with rubbing alcohol and sprayed about 3 coats of color on each wheel with roughly 10 min in between coats followed by 3 heavy coats of glossifier to get it a bit more shiny. The glossifier is available at pep boys but the anthracite grey is only available through dipyourcar.com and they nail you on the shipping($11 for me, a can is worth $10).
I've been off of here for a while now. A lot has changed over a few months. First off my engine developed a tick which i later pinpointed to be a faulty/worn out lifter that was also causing loads of raw oil to escape out the tail pipes. I ran the car for more than a year with the tick and it gradually got louder until it TICKED me off. I managed to snag up a used engine with tranny for cheap and decided to take on the swap once school ended. Alas summer came around the corner and things got cooking. I resealed the new second hand engine and replaced all major gaskets, new thermostat, waterpump and starter along with a new clutch. After a week of work my car is back on the road and feels better than ever!
FIRST a little bit of fun before the engine was pulled with the stock bald rubbers in the rear

The new engine was dirty and covered in normal road debris/ dirt. After a couple of hours, a tooth brush and some parts cleaner it was looking like so

After some paint

Then the teardown began.

So much more room for activities

No lift, no help other than my hands and legs and 2 hours later and she's out.

Finally got the new engine in and connected
[IMG]
[/IMG]
a couple test runs

Finally back on the streets up to no good

Thanks. The stechs are doing really well. on the car for about 10k miles. They handle like oem suspension but are noticeably stiffer. I deal with rough streets on the daily and the ride is not that bad, a tad bit worst than oem springs. Also these are s techs for a 350z so they are a tiny bit stiffer and lower than s techs for the G35
