I pulled the trigger!

Hello!

So... I signed the papers this morning, and have been driving around ever since. Ha. I just came home for a few minutes before work.

Anyways, here she is!

http://www.skippergroup.net/web/vehicle_photos/1400401/

Those are the dealership photos. There is a gentlemen here in town(DFW) that does AMAZING detail jobs, so I'll be visiting him soon. At least to get a initial detail, and then start doing it myself from there. Once I get that, then I'll get some good photos.

It's in GREAT shape, and i got it for less than it's listed for on the add above.

I'm excited to join y'alls ranks, and maybe I'll meet some of you out on the road!

Thank you good sir. It indeed is.

It needs a deep detailing, but you don't see any of that unless you get your nose down on the car.

It's been a blast so far!

Yes. It's in great shape.

At least, so I thought.

I'm about to throw up a thread describing my little situation today, to see if I can get some guidance.

Brakes locking up while you're going 45mph, is never a good thing. Especially when you didn't touch the brake pedal...

Here's a repost of my thread in the Brakes section:

"Hello all!

I bought my first G, THIS MORNING.

Drove it, inspected it, poked it, prodded it, and decided it was the right by.

For my financial situation, I was floored with the car I would possibly be able to get. So we went for it. Drove it all day for different errands, joy rides, and showing some friends. Did great. Went to work, loved it, and then came home. Which is when things got weird.

I got off one of the major highways here in DFW, and was on an access road goign about 45mph. When all of a sudden, the VDC light and slip light come on and flash, and my front right brake locks up on me. And then released, and then locked on me, and again and again and again. Maybe an ABS spaz?

I pull up to a light, and it stopped, and was genuinely freaked out. The light turns green, and I get back up to around 45, and it happens AGAIN.

This time I was able to pull over, stop, take a moment, and whip out my phone and jump on the the forums. It seems I am NOT the first person to have this happen to them, if I am reading things correctly. I've seen people say it could be the brake pads, brake fluid(checked that, it is full) or the steering angle sensor.

I finally make it home, and I contacted the dealership that sold it to me, and they want me to bring it in Monday and give me a loaner car for the day, so that was very nice of them, as I know this is not a new car.

Does ANYONE have any clue what could have happened to me out there? ANyone that has had this happen? I am currently driving with VDC OFF, and that has seemed to 'cure' the problem for now. I drove it for an hour straight about an hour ago, and it did nothing wrong. Which made me feel a LITTLE better.

Anyways. HELP ME OH WISE AND KNOWLEDGABLE COMMUNITY

-John"

Does anyone possibly have any clue about the brake(s) locking up?

See my above post for info..

I'm just looking for some help. :/

I've currently been driving the car with VDC off, and it's been fine. But I still need to track this down, as I have no clue if that is the issue or not.
