1st time G owner

I picked up a 2003 G35 Sport Sedan with Leather this past weekend.
I'm eager to learn some stuff on this forum. I've been using the search button like crazy so I don't ask questions answered millions of times again.

So far I just threw on a set of 20" MRR HR2 and I noticed the front sits up too high. I'm planning on lowering the front with OEM Z shocks and springs. Ill probably add 6,000k lows and halogen 3,000k fogs/highs. I also plan on getting front lip and color matching the sides and bottom of rear bumper. I'm gonna get the roof painted black as well. That's about it for the exterior.

For the performance aspect probably 06+ airbox, K&N air filter, md copper Plenum spacer. I'm not gonna get too crazy with engine mods. If I can find some good threads on strut bars and sway bars then I may add them as well if I read good things.

Welcome!

All the sway bars pretty much do the same thing. What you want is the one with the most adjustability. What makes your 2003 a "Sport" Sedan? 2003 came base model or with the aerodynamics package. This is the spoiler and the two underbody rear air diffusers.

Ha its not a big deal I was just wondering. You have the "sport" yes!

We just don't really call it that I guess.

Yeah I notice a lot of these threads were hot in 2004-2006 so that's why I may ask questions about some stuff. I just want to know if there are better products than those listed in some of those 2004-2006 posts.

Well so far all I can gather is that the first things I should do is 5/16" copper Plenum spacer, ztube, 06+ airbox, coupe midpipe (not really wanting to make my exhaust loud.) I prefer not to give the quota cops any reason to pull me over. Still I know.there are probably lots of companies making brake rotors, sway bars, and strut bars.

If I could get your all's opinion on one thing it'd be great. If I keep the chrome wheels, will the car look better with chrome headlights (not the halo and less crap)? I wanted to black out grille and paint Hood black but...I wasn't sure if the black headlights would make the car look "cheap".

Opinions please.

Thumbs up Welcome

Too bad you don't live in Maryland. I have a coupe mid pipe and y-pipe I'd practically give away.
