Well it's about time. Signed up back in 2008 and finally got around to buying a G35.
Just bought a 2005 G35 coupe, slate blue with beige interior, bone stock with 43K miles on it.
Car was female owned for 30K miles for the first three years, then older gentleman owned since 2008 where it mostly sat and only getting about 2k miles a year.
Car is in good shape for a 2005, but I guess the older gentleman figured he never drove it, so the car never needed maintenance, because just about everything needs it.
Already changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, cabin air filter, and both serpentine belts. Brakes are pulsing a little bit, so next is rotors and pads. Thinking Stoptech rotors and a good ceramic pad.
Tires are shot, dry rotted, 6 years old, and mismatched, so thinking of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3. We got a lot of snow last winter, so I think an A/S should do fine for my driving, which is 95% bumper to bumper interstate traffic for 70 miles a day.
Seats are beige, with the driver seat ripping, can't seem to get them cleaner, so open to suggestions. Lexol leather cleaner does nothing for them.
Also replace the wipers with Bosch, and got a kit of LED lights coming for the interior and some smoked front turn signals.
Still need to do a tranny flush and fill, rear diff fluid change, and change the radiator hoses and new antifreeze, along with brake fluid flush when changing the pads and rotors.
Had my dent guy come out and pull the parking dings, then I clay barred the snot out of it, compound, polish, and waxed it. Need to hit it again with another round of polishing and wax and sealant, then she should be presentable.
I'd put up some pics, but she is pretty much bone stock except for a little window tint.
Thank you all for all the info on here! I've learned a lot from all of you posts and hoping to contribute some info someday, but for now, you guys are my experts.
Cheers!

Welcome back.
Tires - The Michelin PS are an amazing tire, great choice.
Seats - Order Leatherique. It is hands down best leather rejuvenator on market, if it cannot bring your seats back, nothing can.

Installed LED license plate, trunk, dome/map, and puddle bulbs today. Gives a nice bright modern "cool blue" look. Thought about changing the glove box and vanity lights, but just won't use them enough to warrant it.
Checking on some Stoptech rotors now...
Three posts since 2008, your name should be "Sleeper!" Welcome back! Wow low mileage and needing all that maintenance, previous owners did nothing. You don't need what you termed flush, drain/fill will work great through out your G. Flush is a totally different process which even Nissan doesn't recommend! Enjoy the ride...Gary

Going with Stoptech drilled/slotted rotors and Hawk ceramic pads on the 2005 G35 and some Stoptech SS brake lines. Package deal sounds pretty good from a G35driver vendor.

I love the instant torque of the G35, comes off the line much stronger than the Benz. I think this will be my daily driver for the next 150,000 miles or so. Love this car, it's such a perfect balance of luxury, performance, looks, style, prestige, speed, and awesomeness. It just feels so balanced, I love this car.
Old owners did nothing with the car, just let it sit. Going to use her like she deserves.
When I said "flush", I meant drain, fill with distilled water (it's 90 degrees out so no worries on freezing), drive for a few miles, then completely drain, change out radiator hoses, and refill with 50/50 antifreeze/distilled water mix. Probably could survive on a little less antifreeze ratio, but got cold as hell last year and a bunch of water pipes around the house froze, so don't want to take any chances this winter.
Hatchman, SLICK'S garage mate is a Vette, (my wife's ride) love torque take a test drive in one...Gary

Who sells a modified supercharged Mustang and buys a bone stock G35? I guess I do!. LOL
The C230K had terrible throttle response, some weird lag in the program between the gas pedal input and the computer's response and signal to the throttle body. You'd have to floor it to get it to move, G35 response feels so much better. Sure, you can change that in a program/tune, but I like the way Infiniti made that from the factory.

Reliability before performance. Considering most of my driving is 95% bumper to bumper interstate traffic, performance won't get me much and breaking down on the side of the road is up there on my "worst nightmare" list. Ha!
Thanks again for the welcome!

Wow, nice very well modded Stang! Rather than buying ceramic brake pads, you'll get a better bite with HAWK HPS pads and don't forget to do the "Bed In" process...Search!

I've installed and drove on the Hawk HPS pads before in several cars along with the Mustang, as well as EBC and Akebono in various track only, street, sport and ceramic compounds on my other vehicles. I raceed superbikes for about ten years, and I've changed out more rotors/pads/calipers/brake lines than my busted knuckles care to remember, and pretty familiar with brake bed in process.
I like the Hawk HPS pads, good bite, not to bad on dust and pretty low NVH. Never felt like I needed a better brake pad on the street. But the Akebono Euro ceramics a ultra low in the dust department, the wheels actually stay as clean as the car, but not so great on the initial bite, though stopping was never a problem.
Thought I'd try the Hawk Ceramics, just 'cuz I've never tried them before. If I don't like 'em, I'll just swap them out. Already got them on order from a vendor on here, along with some Stoptech rotors and SS lines, and they are on there way. I like trying new stuff, though like you said, the search function will let other people try stuff out for you and let you know their experience... it's cheaper that way! LOL!
