Hi everyone, I'm very new to this site. Whenever I would look anything up about my G it would take me here so I finally signed up so I can ask questions of my own.

I got my g35 in April; 06' auto/tip tronic. Performance wise its stock. I did everything that has been done to it myself. (black detailing, rims, break calipers, ccfl purple uv oracle halos, interior blue floor lighting, etc) I wanted to get more into the body mods. My step dad has an 09 GT-R and as much as I would love to get the gtr body kit, its just not going to happen. An outline of what I want to do is get durandal dd10.5s, cold air intake, headers, a new exhaust system(godspeed?), stock fin spoiler, window tint, and etc. I was looking at hoods and I came across the hikkatadori hood. Some reviews say it's shitty and others love it. I think the carbon fiber black look is cool but since my car is 'super silver' I want to get a hood that's the same color but with the hikkatadori look. My problem is that I have no idea where to buy these things. I'm new to the whole automotive modifications. I'm the only girl in my family and my brothers could care less to help. I just don't want to purchase the wrong part or something thats not compatible considering the prices.

A noob and a girl, we can still help! On the coupe page there's a dozen stickys you need to read and reread. If you don't understand, read it again! Questions...use our Search, just make sure you're asking the right question! There's a female only section, maybe you can relate to the girls. Mods, don't do anything until you've attended a few of our CA meets so you can discover what you really love. Making modifications is expensive, do enough research so you're not making mistakes! Yeah, don't do that body kit and don't buy anything godspeed..ever.

Here's the skinny: if there's a mod that some "love" and some "hate", its most likely a pos. Reason being is that the ones who hate it usually know what they're talking about and the ones that love it usually just love how much money it saved them over the quality mod they SHOULD have purchased.

Usually when everyone loves a mod its cuz everyone loves good mods. You'll never see a mod where the real car guys love it and the ricer goons hate it. See what I mean?

Most members here are helpful especially to noobs! Then it depends on the thread, she didn't show up here posting she had installed test pipes/pep boys muffler and didn't understand why the exhaust had rasp! Knowledge is power which will help her make the right decisions! We gave her the best advice we could so she wouldn't end up with a totally jacked up ride...Gary
