New to forum, new to performance coupes!
Hi guys, first time poster.
I'm breaking old hard ground here. Haven't had a 2-door except for the wife's GTO since I sold mine to make room for kids....that was WAY back.
Have to admit, I was looking at Acura TL's so I could stop putting miles on the '06 RAM CTD I'd been commuting in, and my WIFE suggested I should be looking for something more fun to drive.
So here I am looking at everything you guys are doing and considering how much trouble I can get into having a car that's *much* more fun to drive.
Not sure how the attachment works...I assume it uses an icon in the header. I would have inserted the image into the message but it doesn't look like I can unless I've got it hosted somewhere. Anyway that's all I've got...nice forum, anyway...I learned quite a bit while lurking.

I'm think about doing every mod under the sun but the reality is I'll be pretty conservative. It'll stay NA but I might add a plenum spacer, and maybe update the intake.side a little but I have a lot more reading to do before I do anything.
I did add a grounding kit with hopes of a little more consistent shifting. I think there are some improvements in a couple of areas but It's still inconsistent, especially after sitting well warmed up for a while. Definitely gets "slippery" shifting from 1-2 and 2-3. Maybe it just needs service...?

Check the condition of your AT trans fluid, you'll need a wrench to loosen the bolt...check the fluid with the engine running. Our ATs shift using line pressure, if fluid is low or old and burnt doing a drain & fill will improve how your trans shifts. Any shop can do a trans service, make sure they only use Nissan AT fluid nothing else works!! Do not waste you $$ having the stealership do this service...Gary

I love V8 iron and the sound of the tripower is intoxicating, but I think we both know that a stock G35 vs. a stock '66 tripower GTO w/the slushomatic 200 isn't much of a fight.

I assume you're talking about the valve body upgrade that involves oversizing ports, bigger springs/checkballs,etc.. That will be a while, if ever. I don't see myself ever needing to support 700hp or whatever that mod is worth. There's gotta be another way to snap the shifting up a little without making it too painful...right?
