just wanted to update what I picked up.
2004 sport package with brembos and lsd for 6700.
133k, dent in the rear bumper and a tiny bit of rust around the rear wheel wells.
6mt obviously. only way to go.

only pic I really took of it so far. just after getting down wetsanding the dog ***** off the headlights.
happy to be here, cant wait to dive into this project.

this has to be the best single track ever then. its never had an issue spinning both tires.
the previous owner is a friend. he told me it did. it didn't effect price at all so I don't see why he would lie to me.

Haha, no, it was definitely sold with VLSD originally, but the plates that spin both tires in a VLSD wear out at around 60k miles and it becomes an open differential. We don't have real locking differentials.

well so you say that but he had it serviced at 100k and its magical. its id say close to comparable to my torsion style I put in my truck.

not familiar with what style this diff is, but I know that it works like it should from factory.

well I didn't say locking or anything just lsd. limited slip differential and it does just that. limits the slip and transfers power just as it should. you are more than welcome to come drive MY car and tell me what it does and doesn't have...

Its worn, man. Just sayin.. Its not an LSD. Even brand new they aren't "real" LSDs.

so when you go drinking you tell people every drink you had? not that you just went drinking?
I mean not for nothing but I get its not a lsd in the exact definition. but in the slang term of the word that's most commonly used it is a limited slip differential.

like I said im not familiar with the mechanism in the pumpkin (another slang term. I didn't actually mean the large orange fruit that grows on the ground and people carve around Halloween) because I have not opened it yet. but I do know that it has something inside of it that moves power to both wheels and makes them spin together.

again, feel free to come drive MY car and tell me what I do and don't have....

Yeah, for approx. 60k miles it did. At 133k its no longer functioning as any LSD. Even on Halloween.

OK, OK, maybe YOURS is so cool that the plates didn't wear, but everyone else's did. Now let's go party hard.

Well if you would read my earlier post the previous owner had it rebuilt at 100k.

I don't know why you choose to spray your period all over my thread but I'm sorry your upset I have a vlsd or lsd or whatever term you are comfortable with. Hope you have an open diff

Haha, well of course it is. But it didn't start out that way. And you said serviced, not rebuilt.
