VDC off light on, Slip light on, Engine needs service light on.

Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I purchased a 2005 G35 coupe automatic a month or so ago with about 43k miles and the previous owner got it loaded. So far, I'm been very happy with it and just at a point now where I'll drive it daily. I've been driving it for a couple of weeks now *without* any problems.

I had body parts repainted and fixed, four brand new tires, new rims [the old ones had a lot of nicks]. I had my mechanic look over it and replace anything that was really worn, just to get a baseline. The interior has been detailed. The last step was to have the outside detailed, basically washed and waxed.

I drove it over there this morning and everything was fine. Ran like a dream. When I picked it up, I started it, then put it gear, shortly after that, the VDC off light came on, the "service engine" light came on [that may have been on already, but I cannot remember], and the "slip" light indicator came on too. Driving it home was embarrassing, the engine had no power. I depressed the VDC button, but the light still remained on.

I thought maybe it got wet and the sensors were all messed up. I let it dry out for a few hours, but still seems to behave the same way. I started it and let it idle for a few minutes. The "service engine soon" light was on. I put it in gear and began moving forward, then the VDC off and Slip indicator came on again.

So, does anyone know what's going on or has experienced this before ? What was the remedy ? I 1st thought was to take it in to my mechanic.

Incidentally, I did speak with the manager at the car wash, he said that it was basically just a routine wash. The guys who did the washing, didn't see any problems. [The problems did not show up until after a few minutes after the car was moving forward, so I can kind of believe them and giving them the benefit of the doubt.]

Thank you.
