Ah, the 04 6mt coupe. The Coup de Grace of the G35 world. Filet and port? Nay, lobster and champagne..

P.s. there are a couple vendors on here right now with 03/4 JDM dash kits. I would pick one up asap if I were you lest you be without aftermarket stereo options for another year or more.

Thanks for the welcome!
As for the jdm dbl din, I know, I just saw one added today and pm'd the guy. I got the car through carmax, the stereo was toast so I had them replace it with a pioneer avh4000nex and split the difference in cost. They did however use that God awful metra kit, so I did purchase a jdm kit on eBay that already had the dual climate control. Problem with the one from eBay is that it's black and I have the silver dash. Hoping to be able to work something out!

You mean the buttons? The buttons only came in black with the JDM. I'm in the same exact situation, but you can switch the buttons from a gray domestic AC unit! Find one at a junk yard, pay $15 for the ac controller and switch the buttons. I'm just waiting on a stereo now, cuz I just got the JDM kit after looking for one forever! I still have my OEM AC unit tho, so I'll just switch em.

Yeah, the buttons. I did keep the scrap radio/ac buttons when carmax put in the Metra kit, but the metra kit looks like garbage so I want to replace it. I found a black jdm double din kit on eBay that I bought (the whole thing is black.... buttons, plastic trim etc) I believe it shipped from Germany. It has the oem buttons with the dual climate control in place, but my trim originally is silver, so I want to scoop that up and resell the black.

Ah, I see. Yeah, the bezel part being black sucks. You can try to trade it on here. Definitely keep that OEM AC controller for the buttons tho. Then you can sell that for decent money too. I've been trying to find a color match for the "aluminum" for situations like that (not to mention the door pulls that always look like garbage), but to no avail as far as anything readily available. May try taking it to a paint store to see what they can mix up and stick in an aerosol can.
