There's so much good info/threads on here, I was up reading late last night. So just to be sure, it sounds like a z tube, kn filter, revup box would be some good first mods to the vq35 if you want better sound? I have a 03 g35 sedan 6mt and I would love to get a better sound without having to spend too much, now who is selling a z tube and revup box lol. When I try to access the marketplace it says I don't have permission?

 

First you need to ask nicely if you may access the marketplace. No jk I dunno what the problem is Z tube and revup box are always a sure bet. It's a bit louder. Nothing drastic. You want more "sound", get an exhaust...or an LS7.

I'd buy a plenum spacer first before the z tube especially if you're worried about cost. You'll get more bang for your buck goin that route.

Thanks for the suggestions, I think I'd be okay with just a little more sound so I'll probably get both the z tube and revup box, it has a nice tone as is. And is the plenum spacer an easy install, any downsides to it?

 

Put some taco bell in your gas tank. Yer exhaust will be hella loud.

 

That is the set up I have right now and it sounds nice. Depending on the weather, I also swap my Wolf Pop Charger. I like that sound better but it has been pretty hot where I live lately and I worry about heat soak. The pop charger has a little "PSST PSST" sound when you drive and I like it.

 

I did the plenum spacer with a rented pepboys torque wrench, and a buddies starter kit took set in a college parking lot. Make sure you torque everything down as the directions say
