New guy checking in, loving my new '05 base 5AT

Hello everyone! I picked up my '05 5AT premium package about a week ago and have already put 500 miles on it. I love this car, its such a great blend of comfort and performance especially coming from a civic I've been beating around for the past few years while away from the car scene. This thing makes my old RSX-S kick rocks on all levels.

I'm liking the automatic surprisingly, although a valve body upgrade seems to be unavoidable eventually. The awful roads and absurd drivers/traffic around here are smoothly negotiated with the stock suspension. I'm thinking a mild spring drop to lose some gap but not compromise clearance and ride quality, if anyone has recommendations, maybe 07-08 Z springs? Sorry, I rant. Anyways, I picked it up with 52K miles and 1 owner/s, an older couple. Inside and out has been kept up in superb condition, with all maintenance performed to standard through and through. Aside from some tiny scuffs, and general driver seat wear, it just about feels like a brand new car with all keys and such still with it. I work as a detailer full time, so I intend to keep it that way.

I can't say enough how much I enjoy this car, I was looking for a more luxury bias grand tourer sort of vehicle and I don't think anything else in my price range came close to being as good of a car for the dollar. Thanks for the look, and I hope to enjoy my time here!

P.S. Forgive my terrible photography, my only pictures were shortly after getting it late afternoon with my phone. A well lit loading dock was the best spot i could find lighting wise.

Thumbs up Congrats

Welcome to the forum. As far as a mild drop goes. I have a set of Tanabe NF210 lowering springs on my coupe. The drop is mild (lowered 1 inch in the front .6 inches in the rear), the ride is beautiful and with the 20 inch rims I also installed it looks very good. The roads i drive some are terrible but with my setup everything feels beautiful and my car coners and handles little better as well.

Welcome! Sounds like you know your way around the car already. If you're looking for a mild drop, revised Z springs will definitely get you there, or Tein H-Tech or Eibach Pro-Kit springs.

Do an eibach pro-kit. You want the higher spring rate if you're gonna be lower. You don't want to be lower with stock spring rates or you'll be scraping everywhere.
