The spacer made it more responsive all the way through the rpm range and was well worth what I spent for it. Right now it has 90k miles, it had 87k miles when I bought it last fall for 11,500, 1 owner car. Next up will be a performance tune along with S-tech springs & H&R wheel spacers.

I went with 25mm wheel spacers and it changes the whole look of the car! I recommend you going the same size

Rubbing?

I would like to get the thickest possible spacers that would allow my sidewalls to run as close to edge as possible without having any rubbing issues front and rear, is this possible with the 25mm spacers?

For me, yes! I'm on a air ride system with stock 18s, oem control arms. I'm paranoid like a **** riding on my "lowest" ride hight because it's like cûñt hair close. I'll post up a few pic when I get home

A 25/30mm combo would probably be better. I had a 20/25 setup the wheels were close to the fenders. I can't remember if I had any rubbing issues in the front.

To be more specific I have the stock staggered 19s with 225s in the front, 245s in the rear and the stock sport suspension. I saw a youtube video of someone with my exact car, same wheels and tires with stock suspension, install 20mm front, 25mm rear and it looked extremely close. They looked close enough to possibly rub, but it was hard to tell. I want to be sure they will not rub under any circumstance. Any feedback specific to this setup would help me make sure I get it right the first time around. Thanks

If you're on stock suspension you won't rub. I have the 20/25 set up with those same tires and Im lowered an inch. I did have to roll my rears about 45 degrees cuz I would rub slightly around extreme turns, but that extra inch of height should keep that from happening.

If I were to add a set of Tein S-Tech springs which would lower it around 1 inch, it sounds like it would be ideal to maybe go 20mm all the way around without rolled fenders.

Besides the fact that that would look dumb, I couldn't guarantee that would keep you from rubbing completely. 5mm is only 1/5 of an inch. As it is I'm wanting to go to 30R and 25F. When you lower your car the tires sink in, so the 20/25 rule no longer applies the same way. Just roll your fenders, its easy.

Here's an old pic. The car on the left has no spacers, the car on the right has 20mm Front and 25mm Rear. Both have 19" Rays. I can't remember if I was on S-Techs or coils at the time.

Is that at race legal?

Which part of the setup are you suggesting would look bad, the size of the spacers, not having rolled fenders, or both? (after installation of S-Tech springs)
