New 06 G35 Coupe owner

I found a '06 G35 Coupe with 18k miles, the original owner still had the original window sticker, so I discovered it also has the Premimum Package. The G35 has always been a dream car for me because of the looks, but after driving one I'm blown away by its speed and handling.

The dealership gave me a 90 day warranty, I've seen other threads where people are encouraging new buyers to purchase a warranty from Infiniti...why? Are these high maintenance or problematic cars? All the reviews I read seem to indicate it's a very reliable vehicle.

As far as mods go I tinted the windows and that's all I'm planning on doing, I don't need to go any faster and I'm not a car mechanic ( bicycles are a different story). I have been driving a '99 Honda CRV for the past 5 years, I loved that car, but my son needed a reliable ride so I gave it to him. The G is a uber step up for me...I'm still sneaking out to the garage and staring at it.

Jerseytaylor, you're right, I guess I'm looking for some post purchase confirmation. What's up with the oil consumption warning? Thx for the heads up.

a lot of Gs specifically revup motor cars (05-07 6mt models) have oil consumption issues

No need to be paranoid though man. Just keep monitoring it and stay on top of everything

Thx, it's easy for me to start thinking the worst, but I will definitely monitor the oil.

That's a nice find! Don't freak out....although some revup motors have oil consumption problems, most do not. I have an 05 6MT with over 100K miles. No oil consumption, no rattles, no squeaks. I do however keep the car garaged and am meticulous about service..
