Just don't do it if you can't do it right. Even $10000 isn't enough really. That's enough to boost a motor, but you are gonna want a new motor with forged internals. Boosting your 10yr old motor is not a good idea, especially considering its not really boost friendly from the start. Consider it out of the question unless you got $15-17k.

No just you are wrong.

Just because someone is trying to sell you a FI kit, doesn't make them a professional, it makes them a salesman.

You can't just piece together a boost kit. Whatever that is suppose to mean.

Yes, I'm saying the 'professionals' that you're talking to are wrong. This motor can only handle about 6-8 lbs of boost in perfect working order. You're really gonna spend $10k on 80-100hp? That would be the most boring $10k you've ever spent. Just grab a kilo of really good coke and everything will feel faster before it blows up instead of just your car.

Experienced boosters only!!!

You have to be trolling here. Do you even have a single idea what you are talking about?

1. A new VQ35 can run about 8-10 psi safely. No one said anything about a 10 year old car doing it safely.
2. It isnt the block that has an issue, the rods are the weak point.
3. Ive owned/built 10+ FI cars/bikes, including 2 G35s and a G37.

What is a fully rebuild motor? Kid, your are completely clueless here.

Unless you are going high compression NA, No a 'fully rebuild motor' will not net you 150-400hp. You actually loose power with low compression built motor for FI. A built motor vs a stock engine will give about the same power for the same FI kit.

Also built motors dont just magically increase HP, this isnt Fast and Furious. You need upgraded turbos, injectors, fuel pump, clutch, piggyback/stand alone, map selector, ect.

No, sorry kiddo. You either have all the parts to run FI or you dont. Plus depending if you go JWT, Greddy, momentum, ect they all mount in different locations. Youd have to be extremely good at bending/welding pipe to try to piece together a kit. Plus on top of all that, youd have to know exactly what youre doing, which you clearly do not.

Youve already said you dont have the money to buy a kit, so what is even the point of this thread? This isnt walmart layaway where you can pay a little here and there. It is moronic to try to buy a piece here or buy a piece there when you can afford it. Save up and buy everything you need to install or dont do it at all.
