wheels and tires/spacers

There's nothing wrong with 20's, I have them and love them. In the front, I'm running 20x8.5 with 255-35-20's and in the rear I'm running 20x10.5 with 285-30-20's. My 05 6mt coupe is lowered with Tanabe lowering springs with a 1 inch drop in the front and a .6 inch drop in the rear. The roads I have to travel on a daily basis are terrible but, my suspension handles these roads with no problem.
With the setup I'm running, my car looks and handles beautifully. Instead of rolling my rear fenders, I had the excess lip trimmed away. To me it's better than rolling the fenders and you can't tell it was done, plus it doesn't rub against my 285 when I going over rough roads or dips in the road. Cornering, OH MY GOODNESS, I love taking corners. No oversteer, no understeer, just smooth tractability. If I want loose traction, no problem. I just turn off my VDC and go to town. I pop the clutch with the VDC off and my coupe wags it tail happily. With the VDC on my coupe chirps its tires with ease in first and second. The compliments I get are staggering, everyone loves the way it looks.
If I want to drift it, no problem, if I want to put it on a track, no problem. My coupe handles everything I throw at it. My performance mods are Fujita intake, Exoticspeed catback exhaust, Tanabe lowering springs, Gates racing belts and, more to come. So many people criticize 20's but, their are those of us that know 20's can be a benefit in looks and the handling department. Plus when adding 20's you can lower your car without worrying about terrible roads tearing up the underbody. Whatever you choose to do, good luck.
