Got a black 2005 G35 sedan 6MT 2 weeks ago, Detroit Mi area

This car is pretty clean for the year. It was made in Jan/2005 and has the Revup engine. 115,xxx miles. Clutch is TIGHT and feels like new. I have had tons of modded cars and trucks over the past 25 years. This car is def towards the tops of my list!

I didn't realize that this car is basically a luxury 4 door 350z when I was buying it, I have drove others (stock) 2004 Nissan 350z touring models (fat pigs) with auto trans and they feel slower compared to this car. Pretty much same cars as far as platform, however this car blends into traffic, while a 350z will get you every boy racer out of the woodwork and more cops will notice a 350z over a G35 any day of the week.

I do not intend to do anything on the exterior except for maybe some 17lb rims and lighter weight rotors and paint the calibers bright red. No tints or anything else.

For performance, I have added K&N air filter to revup box and removed Power Duct Port. Everything else is stock, the exhaust is stock and its all rusted out from michigan road salts and I have a slight exhaust leak at the rear flange to the axle back section, so this will entice me to replace the entire system from the headers back, and also drop some weight. I am planning to get the MREV2, Kinetix V+ plenum.

Weight Reduction: I am a big weight reduction nut, however I am not going to strip this car out since it was kept up so well it looks almost like new in most spots.. I have removed approx 80 pounds of practical weight from the car and still going to enhance the daily driving acceleration and handling, such as everything from the trunk, swapped out the 35-L battery to a 26 series battery (9.5Lbs lighter), removed battery cover, removed rear center console armest (weighs nearly 10lbs), removed all floor mats and trunk mats, removed user manual (weighs 1.5lbs) etc. The stock curb weight full fluid and gas in car is 3512lbs according to infiniti official data, so its probably in the ball park, so my approx weight of car with 4 gallons of gas in it usually (I only drive city, short trips) (3512-96lbs of 16gallons of gas not there=3416lbs) is now around 3336 lbs without driver with the current weight reductuon (I weigh 152lbs fully dressed so I am not a big guy). I am going to lose more weight once I do exhaust upgrades, Kinetix Plenum (saves 3lbs), 17-19lb lightweight rims and rotor swap outs, and get some Sparko Milano seats with brackets. I am hoping to lose around another 160-180lbs of total weight off of vehicle to be around 3150-3250 total pounds (without driver). Coupled with the intake performance mods and a possible Osirus tune (I will prob buy and do it myself) and some newer sticky tires, this will be all I need for excellent daily driving pleasure, and still pick up my 3 kids from school!
