New 2005 G35 owner....

bought the car from my co-workers 93 year old Dad who just lost his license, was desperate to keep it in the family (as it were), and so I jumped in I did it on a total impulse without any mechanic check. I could really use a support group to keep me from turning it around and selling it!

I think its a really good car, but little things like the air bag light are flashing, and there is a bit of a shudder when I apply the brakes .. I am looking forward to hearing from the group on the best way to customize this and make it my own.

I haven't had a car in 6 years and probably will drive about 1,000 miles a year because I live a block away from my office so would only drive to the office and boyfriends house occasionally. I don't know, it's going to be fine. I just need a support group and I'm happy to have found you all! so Hi!

Welcome! I'm also a new 05 G35 owner and tell everyone to join a forum so happy you did as well. Start with your search functions and you'll more than likely find a load of helpful insight. These are awesome cars and even though I've worked at Nissan and owned or operated a dozen or so Nissan products I'm not bias.. More details about your new ride will also help others help you.

I bought mine accidentally through a friend and even with 190K miles its running great as it's had a host of mods and meticulous maintenance.. Enjoy!

Welcome,

I think you can fix that airbag light by turning the car to the on (but not start) position for 5 seconds, then off 1 second, 5 times.

If the light comes back you need a Nissan/Infiniti dealer to get to the bottom of it.

Brake shudder can come from warped rotors, how is the rotor condition?

Need more deets plz.....

Mileage, color, picture possibly? You've come to the right place, even though our membership has taken an interesting turn as prices come down on our cars, this is still THE premiere forum that talks all things G. As mentioned already, use the search function to look up topics you have questions about, read through the stickied threads at the top of each sub-forum and be aware one of your responsibilities as a member is to try to find out answers to commonly asked questions before you go posting up the questions all ***** nilly. (yes I'm a little old but still find wn funny lol)

A lot of helpful people here, but some azzwipes as well as any other internet forum has so read, learn but most importantly enjoy your membership here. We're glad to have you.
