Turn Signal / Hazzard light issue! Any help is great!
Hey guys.. i just bought my first 04 g35 coupe automatic .. the guy i bought from never shared that the car had an issue with the signal lights/hazzards. So here is my issue. When i use ANY signal, all my rear lights start flashing together (basically hazard lights) but it includes my brake lights as well. Hazards kinda do the same thing. The front signals fine. Just the rear. I dont know what can cause this.. or where to start. Iv looked and looked and i got nothing and very new to these cars. Im uploading a video as we speak but until than any ideas would be great. I did see that there is a kit you buy to make your brake led lights be used as signals. Is it possible someone tried to install this and messed up? Siggestions or places to start trouble shooting would be great. May take me a while (snowy and cold in PA) but any help is appreciated
Thanks

Well i cant figure this out. From what i can tell.. something has been done to the car to get the brake lights to flash. I dont think that is standard for these cars. The brake lights never flash during hazard or signal light. However, nothing is connected to the harness of the tail lights. Im at a total loss. There was a relay in the trunk but when i unplugged it.. nothing changed. Any suggestions help? Completely lost. I cant drive the car because of this.

That sucks! Would everything act normal except for just this one thing. Also, the front lights work as they are supposed to. Its just the rear. And seeing the led brake light blink, it makes me think some sort of mod was added to do that, it was just wired wrong. I dont think its normal for led brake lights to blink. Dam. This sucks.

Yea, certain things can work completely normal and other things get fubared. You'll need a wiring diagram and check for power from BCM to lights. Then check wiring continuity to make sure the wiring is good. There are some ground connects as well that can cause issues I think. There is a couple of fuses I think also. Look for the FSM at thenismoclub.com and start from there.
If you do need a BCM you'll have to go to the dealer to have your keys reprogrammed.
