Car wont start...Kinda
Hey everyone, I've had my coupe for 2 years now, just joining the site now because I am coming across my first problem with the car (minus the windows doing the auto roll down).
I have an 04 coupe AT. This weekend my car has started to not start...Kinda. I went to the gym on Saturday morning, and the car ran, and started fine with no problems. The car sat for the rest of the day, until later that evening I was on my way to go to the Timberwolves game, and my car would turn over, but it didn't seem like it would catch. It sounded like it wanted to start, but if I would stop turning the key, it would run for a second, then die. After about 2 minutes of trying to start the car it finally stayed running, but was running really rich, and idled funny for about the first 15 seconds. I didn't have time to look into much with having to go to the game so I shut the car off, and took my other car.
Sunday morning I go out and the car starts right up no problem. Here in Minnesota, the Temp has been fluctuating between freezing and 40's, so I attributed it to maybe the sensors having some moisture in them, and that causing things to be funny.
Monday morning I had to work 5-5 so I take my other car just in case, Monday night I go out to start the G and the same thing happens, car seems like it wants to start, but wont until I have tried for about 2 minutes, then idles rough and rich, like really rich, richer than a cold start should be. I then drove it to my parents house to have my dad take a look at it, and see if there is anything he can see that I am missing. He thought it sounded like my car had a possible miss, but the car doesn't seem to be lacking any power.
So anyone have a clue on what this could be? Do I have miss which is potentially causing a cylinder to flood? Is my fuel pressure regulator going? Possible my battery is on its way out?
Recap
Sat. morning car starts,
Sat night car barely starts after trying for 2 min
Sun morning car starts fine
Mon night car only starts after 2 min of trying again
Thanks in advance

I was thinking battery at first because it is getting a little colder here in MN, but part of me thinks that if the battery was bad it wouldn't let me constantly have the engine turn over for a min or 2 at a time. Also because it started the morning after it happened the first time, because I did not let the car warm up long enough for the alternator to charge the battery much.

Doesn't sound like a battery to me since it eventually started. If it has enough power to turn the car over for a prolonged period of not starting without dying and then be able to start without a charge, it seems strong.
I'm sure the CEL came on after it started... pull the code. Probably a sensor. Had it been raining hard or really humid?
How,many miles on your car?

It has been raining a little, a lot of odd weather here in MN right now, not a lot of percipitation, but some. It has gone from 30's to the 40's. On saturday it warmed up and all the snow melted here. This makes me think that the sensors got some moisture in them which caused it to be funky, but the car has not thrown any codes this whole time. Car has 96k on it.
