Newbie Checking In

Hello!

Prospective G35/G37 owner checking in on the forums. I've been lurking for over a month now just to get a good feel for the Infiniti G (specifically the coupe) so that I could walk into negotiations for a used car a bit more educated.

In that vein, you guys are awesome and I'm hoping to join the ranks as a driver soon! Looking forward to hanging around and learning a lot

welcome to the g community!!! When you buy the G, any plans for it? Lots of info on here just have to search in the right place. There are some old timers that stick around and will help out if any question.

Off the bat...probably will go ahead with upping to an 18" High Performance All-Season tire for the front and back. Oh, and a set of wheels and winter tires.

Along with that, definitely going to switch to an aftermarket brake kit (looking at the Power Stop Z23 kit atm) and a new brake line.

After that, it's play it by ear. I can't see into the future as to whether or not the G I end up with will have any other issues I need to handle, but hopefully I'll be able to work and drive with it for a long time

Look into the BF Goodrich g-Force COMP TA All Season tires. I just put some on my GTO and all I can say is they are amazing. Tirerack did a comparison of 27 UHP AS tires and these came in first place ahead of much more expensive Michelin and Continental tires among others.

If your G's in good shape, take care of her and she'll return the favor!!

I've heard good things about those as well as the Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position tires. Here's to hoping I find the perfect G for me to put them on!
