Potential new owner with ?

Hello everyone,
First, I'd like to introduce myself to the community. I've been a Nissan fan since the early 80's, and currently owning an 87 S12 (200sx SEV6) which I feel it will need to be retired soon (AT slipping while up shift if driven gently). Looking for new ride.
Not a G owner, yet. But I have a question that I tried to find answer for and google came up empty, went through pages on this forum with no luck, my apologies if this was posted before.
Test drove an 06 coupe AT, 150K miles, and price was set at 5200. One last thing I'd like to know before pulling the trigger. Carfax showed damage to front in 2016, but seller is struggling to explain and let me know what parts were repaired/replaced. My question is this, are there VIN labels on body's parts like hood, fenders, bumper, doors, chassis... if so, where can I find them ? I'm asking this because my 2000 4runner has VIN labels on all these parts.
Car still drive pretty straight. So I'm hoping the damage was just something that does not effect alignment.

Thanks in advanced for any help,
G-101

Take it in to Nissan for a pre-purchase inspection, pay the extra money for an alignment inspection (no adjustment made) and check out the alignment report to see if it can be made straight. Instruct them to look for chassis damage during the inspection, this will probably cost $150-$200 but could save you a lot of hassle. They do a pretty thorough inspection for pre-purchase.

If the seller won't agree to the inspection then just walk away because he's trying to hide something.

If the deal seems off to you, trust your instincts! There is ALWAYS another car. I just spent the last 3 months shopping for just the right car. Some were priced too high, some had too many miles, others had accidents on their Carfax reports until I found the car/price/miles I wanted. If you are patient and check daily on forums, CL and the car shopping sites, you'll find a car without accident history. If you want an Automatic, it is a buyer's market. Be choosy is my advice! Best of luck and welcome!

Thank you much to Cleric & Travs for the advises.
AT is a must for me, I left the stick in the store in 1990 when I traded in my old Z for the first runner, probably won't be able to own a stick again anytime soon. Was able to keep the s12 because she's an auto.
Not in a hurry, but my eyes are set on the G, an image of my S12 (a non-Z with the Z's guts)
