New to the 2004 G35 with repairs to do

I'm sure there are probably post after post regarding my issue. I promise I did search through this site before posting this. My apologies if I missed something that answered this. The more I read the more confused I became. Lol!

I have a 2004 G35 I bought from someone off of Offer Up. I didnt realize the hidden repairs I was going to need.

The headlights look awful and definitely had water in them at one point. I want to replace the entire thing. AS CHEAP AS POSSIBLE. Since these repairs were not budgeted for.

Where do I go?
What do I need to get?
I've been searching by using 2004 G35 D2R replacement kit. The search takes me all over the place. Luckily it landed me here!

Please any advice would be great! I love this car but I'm so mad it! Lol!

Buying a used set and swapping them in yourself is probably your best bet. You can search on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, or Ebay to get some OEM headlights. Then search on youtube or get a factory service manual for the steps on how to install.

FYI, all headlights look like garbage now-a-days. Only takes a few years for them to turn yellow. As far as your statement of "definitely had water in them at one point", you might to see if you have any cracks in your headlights to see if it was condensation etc.

If the lights are in good condition and only have moisture issues inside, find a diy on blacking out or modifying the lights out so you can see how to remove the lense, clean it all up and put it back together with good sealant.

You can also get an Ebay set for around $250 with the knowledge that they have worse-than-stock light output and are ticking time bombs as far as longevity goes - that's the cheapest route. You could save that money for doing other "real" repairs properly. From 110k-130k on my daily driven G I've rebuilt the entire front suspension, replaced the blown out differential bushing, replaced the engine mounts, and had to troubleshoot and repair a misfire from a bad coil pack and a bad alternator.... among many other things. If I were paying someone to do all this work it would easily be in the thousands just for labor.
