Just bought a 2007 G35X that won't start. Got it cheap. The BCM got wet from what I believe to be a roof drain leak.
Already found a replacement BCM (same part # from Pull-A-Part wreck that was only a few weeks old but a non-X model). Plan on fixing the leak and hopefully all I will need to do now is get a locksmith out to my location to program my key-fob to the replacement BCM after the car drys out good. Fingers crossed.
I've read many threads here searching to see if the BCM has to be serialized to the car by Nissan/Infinity or not, but I've been unable to find a clear answer.
This is my first Infinity, but my first truck was a '72 Datsun, so I've owned a Nissan before, although I believe the Datsun only had like 70HP on a good day.
