help i have no back up lights and the back up camera is not working

changed switch on transmission - did not work

 

Prior to changing anything did you use your multimeter to check for voltage and ground. Check the fuse and test all points thru the wiring harness

Does the backup relay operate?

 

If your dash gear indicator is showing reverse correctly then it's not the transmisson PNP switch.

Did everything work properly before and suddenly stopped working or has it NEVER worked properly?

 

it is a manual transmission so no gear indicator light .....suddenly stopped

 

so this is actually my sons car and i asked him to check the wiring and he hasn't done that yet but will now sinve he already spent money on a part that didn't fix the problem
