ive been trying to use the heater yet as soon as i turn it on it blows hot for like a minute then the temp gage goes cold again

So you're saying that the engine coolant temperature drops to COLD when you turn your heater on correct?

Engine is at normal operating temp, you turn on the heater, engine temp drops to COLD.
