previous 05 g35 owner Now 13 infiniti g37 convertible owner HELLO from California
I owned my 05 Infiniti g/35 coupe for 10 years and l LOVED LOVED LOVED MY G. !Just bought a 13 Infiniti g/37 convertible and I am little disappointed with transmission. It shifts different (automatic) and seems to have a hard time finding the right gear when coming to a stop. Tell me I am not crazy...anyone else notice that, or have that issue? My 05 g35 seemed to be much faster and more responsive when you hit the gas. Also when I start my 13 infiniti it sounds kind of wimpy. How can i get that varoom sound that use to come out of my 2005 to come out of my 2013? any suggestions? 2005 g35 first infiniti loved loved this car! 2013 coupe convertible 2013 g/37
Unfortunately the convertible option adds quite a bit of weight to the vehicle which you will definitely feel when accelerating, the best way to offset that is some power adder bolt-ons like high flow cats, good cold air intake, and an Uprev tune will get you about +50whp and will make the engine feel significantly peppier. If you want to go with a full cat-back then you have a TON of options but they will all be LOUD. The HFC's will make it louder than stock but not LOUD.
However that 7AT will still hunt for the right gear, the Uprev tune will help since they can adjust line pressure but the real solution will be the GTM valve body upgrade.
You should also look into a front lip spoiler, makes the front fascia look MUCH better and gets rid of a lot of the "roundness".
