07 G35x makes ticking noise when i turn
Hey Guys
I was just curious if I can get some help. I have a 2007 g35x and in the mornings when I drive it for the first time it makes a light ticking noise in the wheel area when I make a left turn. When the car has warmed up it stops but then I get off work later that day it ticks when I make a left turn. Its seems like it does it only on a fresh start. Have u guys heard of this your G's?
Thanks

Probably a bad CV axle, check out 0:38 seconds into this video, if that's the sound it's definitely CV axles. I recommend replacing them in pairs because the opposite side might not be making the sound yet but it's going to be VERY CLOSE.
Thanks for responding. yes that's the sound it makes when I make left turns. Is this something I need to repair immediately that will cause more damage? I don't want something to happen while driving etc
Well... It will probably limp itself along for another year getting progressively worse. However it could just snap at the joint at any moment especially under hard acceleration with the wheel turned sharply. You should replace it as soon as you're able.
oh my..i don't want it to snap...ok I went online to find the part so I should get the front cv axle shaft assembly correct? also get it for the right and left since the other side will go out soon? I appreciate your help
Had this happen on my oooold Infiniti G20 in the 90s and was pretty pricey bc I fixed one side only to have the other side fail like right after
