I just took my G35 coupe in for it's second service, 8500 miles. Just prior
to taking it in, it began to make an odd noice with cold start ups. No
warning lights at all. No check the oil, increased heat etc. The noice
went away once the car warmed up. Fortunately I drove the little with this
new problem.

The dealer told me tonight that the noice was caused by a low oil level?
New car, no warning lights, I'm somewhat pissed off. My prior car, A BMW,
would of definitley let me know what the problem was. I realize I shouldn't
rely on dumbie lights, but then again, I would of never thought my new car
would be going through so much oil.

Anyone else with similar problems? Thanks,

 

I've heard that excess oil consumption has been a problem on a handful of the VQ35 engines. I've never experienced it (knock on wood).

Try doing a search on the forum for this problem....it can be found on the top under forums.
