Brought home G35 today, Little things

Well, I left work a little early today to go pick up my new used G35 coupe. Here is my first impressions... Car is very easy to learn (6mt), I can sort of notice the VDC doing its thing but not much.

Def. going to need snow tires.. although roads were clear going into my driveway wheels were spinning in icy snow I can forsee much improvement with a better set of tires.. aslong as you take it easy on the throttle it doesn't seem as bad but who know's until I see it really coming.

New England in expecting 1-4 inches tommorrow so I will be leaving the G at home since I got the bridgestone potenzas.

A question for you guys... how the hell do you guys fit subs into the trunk?.. I got an alpine type S 10" sub I used in my old car in a Q logic box and I can't even fit that into the trunk unless I place the box sideways.. I could never imagine getting 12's in there. I had the 10 Inche alpines because I wanted base but keep a light weight in an Evo for racing purposes.

I'm pissed because I forgot to check for the lo-jack certificate before I left the dealer now I gotta call them and ask and possibly even go back there.

Ohh yah.. another thing.. the car 25k miles.. is there any maintence or wear items I should be aware of to replace soon?... Such as air filter, brake pads, rotors possibly.

Hey fellow New Englander. Do a search for 4080 subwoofer. He's a member here who makes a custom made subwoofer box for the G35s. He's currently doing a group buy on them as well. I just picked one up myself. And definitely get some snows on that car. Blizzak LM22's, Dunlop Winter Sport M3's or Hankook Icebar W300's would be my recommendations. I just got a set of the W300's myself. Good luck with the new G.

Thanks, I ordered a set of Blizzak WS-50 from tirerack, just waiting on a tracking notice.

What type of subbox is that?.. does it hold two 12's? two 10's? one 10? one 12?.. Thanks I may ask him.

I'm also looking at a kit so I can install an aftermarket GPS in my G as well.

I forgot to mention I am broke right now so this may not be until early next year.. just lost my previous car and blew out alot of money on this car.

Here's the link to the group buy thread. There's some pics in it as well. Hope this helps.
