G Owner from LA, CALI comin to Big Apple NY, NY

Hey guys and gals (if any) im coming out to New York the last week of June. To be exact im comin in tuesday June 27th and im leaving Sat the 1st.

Yes i know im coming in the middle of the week, but the reason for me comin out to NY is i have an interview with the columbia med school.

So my question to you guys is this. I need a hotel to stay at. I do not mind spending a lil bit of money but i wanna be comfortable and not worry about a damn thing.

the address of the place of my interview is here.

1800 Park Ave,
New York, NY 10035

so if G owners can help out another G owner i would definitly appreciate it.

and also if anyone has a connection at any bars and stuff that would be great as well.

Thanks again and waiting for your responses.

Hmmm. Well you def want to be away from midtown but you dont want to stay too far up. The area around Columbia isn't the greatest. When looking for hotels, try to keep them below 96 street. I would also reco sticking to the east side so you have a quick cab ride or subway ride. There are a ton of bars along 2nd ave in the high 40's to low 50's so if you staty around there, you can get into plenty of trouble...I mean fun! LOL Yeah it's still midtown but east of TSQ which is a tourist trap and nightmare to navigate!

I would try the W hotel on LEXINGTON and I think it's around 50th or so. Probably an ideal location close to subways etc. Gonna cost ya a bit, but hey, WELCOME TO NY!!! LOL

It is at 50th and Lexington. I was just drinking at Whiskey Blue last week! Don't know much about the hotel though.

It's a good hotel for younger people who have a lil money. Rooms are tiny from what I hear, but that's basically like any hotel in Manhattan!

Yeah good luck on the interview! BTW you toally suck for not being out here on the 24th. Nissan/Infiniti Day at ETOWN raceway!!!! I have to cut through Manhattan anyway to pick up my boy so I could have easily given you a lift too so you can hang with some G's!

Hopefully you get accepted and will be able to sneak an hour or so away from the books to make a meet or 2, but I know you'll bee studying your **** off!

Columbia is tough stuff and expensive.

I'm planning on going there to get my Master's in Architecture.
