It's snowing, but the G needs a wash.

It started snowing here in NY, and the G is sleeping in a warm garage. Unfortunately, it hasn't been washed in two weeks, and I wanted to wash it before all this snow. Now, the G is stuck with rims that haven't been washed in two weeks, and will not see the light until this weather gets better... Does anyone else garage their G for the winter?

I wish I had a garage. I have a full driveway that leads all the way to the back of the house. But it sucks because the car gets covered in snow and all that [censored]. Plus you never get to enjoy a car wash for more than a day because everytime you wash, it rains either that day or the following day. I think I need to rent a garage for the G. When are you planning on bringing it out again? I m thinking Monday or Tuesday

http://www.coverit.com/ mine is the 12x20x08. It was actually an early christmas present that my Girlfriend bought for me I suggest you put one on your list. I was just outside clearing the snow off of it, most of it just rolls off becasue of the round design.

Anyone with condo try to get permission to put in one of these? Our spaces are wide so it might fit but it'll probably be a cold day in you know where before they let me put it up!

zorro, my g will only come out this winter when the roads are DRY. in the garage.

if you're careful, you could wash with a bucket in garage, just move some other stuff out of way of splashing. how well does you garage drain?

Re: It's snowing, but the G needs a wash.

VinNYCG, with this much snow, I am not sure if the roads will be completely dry until Tuesday or Wednesday. On top of that, it's supposed to rain Wednesday and Friday. So, my car might not see the light until next weekend. Hopefully, it will be warm enough for me to wash it .
Studly, not sure if my garage will hold up, if I wash my g in the garage. I never tried it, but I'll need a big dehumidifier to get all that water out. As much as I love my G, I don't think washing my G in the garage will happen.
Let me know if that works out for you.

Mine is sitting secure, dry, and clean in my garage. Driving my Exploder until the salt is gone. NJ roads are terrible in winter with snow runoff and salt residue. Mine only has 3500 miles on it and I wanna drive it but in the garage she stays.

It's been about a week since the G saw the sunlight. All this salt, and the snow on the side of the road might not clear up for a long while. Hopefully, we'll get some rain to help clear all this salt. Poor G... Poor me.

I take my baby to the wash every other day. Not a full blown wash, but just a quick one to get all of the crap off of it.

my baby's in the garage. walk to the office only three blocks. have a mini and a couple of beaters to get me thru the winter.
wish i could keep the coupe in my living room. lock haven seems to use way more than their share of road salt and cinders. the coupe probably won't get out much for the next few months. 2700 miles since 03-14-2003.

Re: It's snowing, but the G needs a wash.

I unfortunately live in a complex where people seem to move in and out on a daily basis and some seem to have more pull than others when it comes to whoever owns the complex. With that said, I've been driving the G around in the snow, but it has been stored in a garage when not being driven. However...I have lost the garage to someone else, and I have been hit with salt badly. What is the best way to go about washing the lady in red? I'm not even sure I would like to go to a hand wash considering all the salt on her...it's really bad. Any information/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Serum, I'd think you want to hose it down, and soak it for a while, before washing it with soap. After that, I'd recommend you change the water in the bucket often, just to keep it salt-less. I can't stand the thought of all that salt touching the G. Hopefully, this rain today will cleanout all the snow, and I will be able to take my G out of the garage on Monday or over the weekend . Can't wait. Not being able to drive the G, is like not having sex for a long time
