Dealer Help from Maryland G Owners???

I need help guys!!!

I've got a '03 G35 Sedan with an extended GE 4* Plus warranty and I got the damn CD ERR FO message and the AC unit is grinding which is also apparently pretty common all within the last 3 weeks...

Can anybody recommend a good Infinity service department???

Jim Coleman...
Rosenthal...
Passport, etc...

I am not too picky about how far it is (I'm in Frederick), but being from NY/NJ I do not respond well to obnoxious Service Departments and my wife won't pay the bail money... ;-)

Any help would be great guys!!

Don't know too many dealership besides the one near my work, JBA of Ellicott City. I never really take my car to the dealership either.

As far as your AC grinding noise, it might not be your AC. I have a similar noise upon acceleration at low RPMs. Sounds like a chain dragging. It's more audible with the AC on.

I read up on the forums and many say it's the heat shields on the exhaust being loose. I haven't check my shields yet but i'm hoping that's the only problem.

I havent dealt with any service departments but I do know that Jim Coleman is where I would take it. I have heard good things about the dealership in Annapolis but that is like an hour and a half trip for you. I'm sur when other members see this thread they will chime in. I know they will tell you to stay away from Chantilly

Well if your talking about MD, Sheehy Infinity on Riva Rd in Anapolis, MD is the only Infinity Dealer in the state of MD that I know of. If your close to Alexandria, VA then there is one there too.

Deez,

I know the noise you are talking about, but this is one is definitely coming from the AC compressor, it is a known issue on 2003's. There is even a TSB referencing a "growl".

They even go so far as to say "replacing the entire unit MAY REDUCE the noise"...Can you believe that? It MAY reduce the noise!!

Gotta love it
