LOL Awesome

Yeah Scootch, I hear you. I would never let anyone (except a pro detailer) wash my car. No way!

Ive seen people at these events guys/girls drop the wash mitt, shake it and keep on washing the cars even if your standing there who is to say it wasn't dropped prior to you getting there with rocks in-beded in the mitt

just my theory, ill rather be safe then sorry

How clean is the water they're using? Is it full of dirt from the 20 cars they washed before mine? How often are they changing the wash mitts with fresh clean ones? I don't want all that dirt being ground into the paint causing scratches and swirl marks.
Most car washes I've seen use cotton towels, not microfibers, to dry the car. Definitely not good for the clear coat.

If I stood there and watched them do it, it wouldn't prevent the swirl marks. esp if they're not using microfibers.

Same reason why only a fool would use the soap brush at car washes.. would you use the same condom after another man used it?

Forget rocks, all you need is a little speck of dirt in a mitt rubbed in by someone that doesn't know how to wash a car (aka. model in a bikini) and your paint is toast..

I guess those are good points...i would think a carwash sponsored by a club would use the right tools

+1 i never use the brush at a self serve car wash... as i see to maybe people going threw with there boats, 4 wheelers, jeeps all mudded up.. etc...

But just because i wont let them wash my car doesnt mean i wont donate
