NJ guys.. need help bad.. got tickets..what next?

Well, im in Teaneck NJ and i went to see a buddy an hour away on exit 7 on Turnpike. I was being a good boy and I wasnt going too fast or anything.. Well when i was there, my buddy calls me and i find out he's been stuck outside of bestbuy for 1hr.. Well i left, and started driving back home. I was doing about ~100MPH - 105MPH on the CARS only lane, and all of a sudden i see a car pacing me real fast on the other side of the turnpike(TRUCK), in a second they flash the brightest light ever at me and then im like damn im busted, so i slowed down to like 60 and they pulled me over. They cops asked me why i got pulled over and i was like yup, that i was driving fast cuz im having a bad day and my best buddy was stuck somewhere... They said they paced me at 110MPH and i was like i didnt know i was going that fast.. Well they asked for license, reg, insurance, I gave them license but i couldnt find my reg and insurance cuz i got like 100 documents in glove compartment so they told me to 4get about it..They also said you got a valentine 1 radar detector in there huh? and i was like yes... Anyway after like 30mins, they came back, and gave me 3 tickets,
- One for doing 110MPH in 65MPH -
- 2nd for reckless driving-
-3rd for failure to keep right(what the hell?)

They told me i could have gotten one for failure to provide documents on time but they'll let it slide. So they told me i probably gotta appear in court.. By the way this happened in South Brunswick, Middlesex county.. I beleive it was exit 9 or so.

This is my first offense, im 18yrs, been driving since november 1st. Now what should i do now? I dont want my license suspended.. it would mess me up too bad..

i travel exit 9 to exit 6a, twice a week. usually at 85 mph.

normally you can bargain down a ticket. but, you are over 100

get a lawyer. will cost you a few hundred but way cheaper in the long run. they will only bargain so much with an individual. but with a lawyer, they make good deals.

Lawyer, but with your new driver points, you are looking at least at bad driver classes even with some brgaining. The suspension i believe is standard with the reckless Between the reckless and the double fine in the 65, you are in for huge fines.

I whole heartedly agree with Afro, never drive the car lanes.

I agree with Studly, get a lawyer, he'll help you negotiate it down to a lesser charge. Make sure you get someone from that area, as there is a better chance of him knowing the judge.
In the future, always keep an eye on the truck side. I never take the truck side, because I don't want to drive on the tuck side in my sweet G, but I always keep an eye on the truck side.
Good luck!

be prepared to spend lots of time and money. call the number in the back of the tickets and plead not guilty. you will get a new court date in the mail. appear in court and they will go through the roster and you will have to stand in front of the judge and plead not guilty. then after everyone is done, the court will break and then you go and see the prosecutor and try to bargain down to a lesser offense. if you arent happy with the plea bargain, then tell the prosecutor you want to adjourn the case and talk to your lawyer. they will assign a new court date. so far that will only cost you time and if it doesnt work out then hire a lawyer and go back. by the way, thats the basics, each court works a bit different. or you can cut to the chase and just hire a lawyer from the get go. in the next few days be prepared to be bombarded with mailings from lawyers wanting to represent you. good luck.
