Pricing 04 coupe

Long time reader, first time poster

Well, I am trying to get my hands on a new coupe. I've been to Nashua and Norwood to get prices. Nashua offered me the car at MSRP (wow, big deal) and Norwood offered me the car for 1000 below sticker. I wanted to know if 1000 below MSRP was decent for this car or not. It doesn't seem like enough, but if that is what everyone else is paying then I will feel better.

Re: Pricing 04 coupe

I'm picking my car up this weekend and I managed to get 1500 off after going to a few dealers. They started out only wanting to give about $500

Re: Pricing 04 coupe

i ordered mine last june to get the first of the 04's. i got 1250 off.

although it is still a hot car, this is winter, demand for coupe is down. people have posted discounts in the northeast of up to 2500.

try for vpp pricing.

i'm in nj and dealers are now discounting. i've heard of discount in MA.

go to infiniti websit, to a build and locate and search for dealers within 50 miles. play one off the other.

if it's an order, they place them first week of month, you have more power then. also get them to throw in wheel locks, few oil changes, etc..

Re: Pricing 04 coupe

I live in the NYC area and there seems to still be very high demand for the coupe around here. Esp. with 6MT and Nav. the pickings were slim. I got 1000 off MSRP and just above KBB value on a trade in. If you are flexible with options and delivery date you should be looking at somewhere around 1500 off.

I bought mine from Norwood. Are you buying an AT or MT coupe? Even if it is an MT, they should be able to do a little better than 1k off.

Give Kelly in Waltham a try. I did OK on my 2003 coupe, but the demand is up on these puppies and they'll go for your gold.

Ask for Mathun, good sales rep.
Good luck,

AT or MT? maybe we should start specifying. As much as they don't like to discount the coupes, they seem even less willing to discount the MT. Mine was a 6mt, and I got $1800 off MSRP back in september.

Re: Pricing 04 coupe

6MT

I called down to NJ dealer when my co-worker said they were giving $250 over invoice on sedans and $1000 over invoice on coupes. I called them and they said yes, $1000 over invoice on all coupes, no matter the specs. I took that back to Devan, since that is where I ordered from, and they couldn't match it but went to $1300 over.

Since Devan does free oil changes for life and will store my off season tires for me for free, AND their service dept is known to be the best in regards to add-ons and mods, it was a no brainer for me to go the extra $300 to use my local dealer.

Sounds like that's a really good deal. Since I don't know what your exact configuration is, how much under MSRP does your $1300 over invoice equate to?

Re: Pricing 04 coupe

Well, I'm not sure yet =)

I'm getting a BS 6MT, prem, front lip, splash guards, nav, and possibly XM or SIRIUS. I haven't even worked out a final price yet with the dealer, but we agreed on $1,300 over. I'll worry about the actuals once my delivery date gets closer (early June). If you like, I can do an online build on edmunds.com and get an invoice price for my area.

Re: Pricing 04 coupe

for 300, i'd do the same thing. assuming you own the car 3 yrs, the oil changes pay for it, not including storing the tires. which of course they will gladly put on each year for you for a small price.

Re: Pricing 04 coupe

i just went on edmunds.com and got this:

MSRP: 38,480
invoice: 34,704
I should pay: 36,004

So I would be $2,580 under invoice. Wow. I didn't realize I would get that much off! I hope Devan holds up their end of the bargain.

If not, I'll be SURE to let you all know.

Re: Pricing 04 coupe

emayhem,
you're not under invoice, you might be under "market"

remember,
invoice, market, msrp. the only difference is the spread between them.

Re: Pricing 04 coupe

I got a quote today of $1800 off msrp from Quirk in Braintree. This is for a $37560 MSRP (includes destination charge). So here are a list of additional charges in MA:
5% sales tax
$29 sticker
$86 new plates
$299 documentation fee ?

Anyone ever get hit with a documentation fee? Sound bogus? There will be no other fees.
