Happened to me too

I've had my car broken into 2x - both by the same method. The 2nd most recent time, the stole my xenons. M'fers.

Infiniti has a serious flaw with the car. Both times the factory alarm did not go off...I have video surveillance footage but the bastards haven't gotten caught...yet.

You all need to install a perimeter alarm with a shock sensor to deter but in means prevent it from happening. A hood lock is a good idea too.

Here's how they get in...
1. They pry the cover off the driver's side door lock (where the key hole is).
2. They stick a screwdriver in there and make the windows go down.
3. Release the hood from inside the car.
4. Presto -- pluck the xenons out.

The 2 bastards that hit my apartment complex hit 3 cars in 5 minutes. Real pros.

half the time they will pop the hood from the fender and disconnect the battery and then they will get WICKED on your car.disconnecting battery prevents lights and alerm from going off when youy open the door to get at the system. coupes are the #1 target because most have system

wow, these are some very horrifying storeis. Sorry to hear of the losses. How easy is it for the g's to be stolen. Has anyone went as far as putting in the viper, car alarms, gps tracking. I worry about mine where ever I go. I travel out of town alot because I am 5 minutes away from Newark. So I try to hang out away from Newark but then unless you are around your ride 24/7, it will always be on your mind. Thanks for letting us know what happened but sorry it occured in the first place. My brother's had cars broken into before and both were in Newark.

getting inis ez, but i dont think its that ez to start the car, it does have immobilizer in the ignition, but if you have autostart hooked up, then the antitheft is gone. feels like driving a honda again. cant go anywhere with out worrying about the ride being broken in to. thats why i try to keep interior neat and clean so they see nothing worth grabbing.

Same here Killer lex. I keep all important things out of sight. The tints do help.

My insurance company is insuring me for $178 for my rims. I bought the 3 piece Asanti AF-130 from Mother's performance on route 46. It sucks that they are still making the rim. But I can't wait for them to get here.

Here is a link of what I ordered.

The dimensions are

20 inch rims
nitto tires
3 piece chrome
4 inch offset in the rear
2.5 inch offset in the front

tires i believe were 275-30-20 rear
245-35-20 front.

I ALWAYS keep the G physically locked up with at least a brake lock. If you guys want to seriously prevent the car from being stolen, invest in a Mul-T-Lock. alarms will deter a bit but not much. the lock i mentioned is a physical lock that locks the tranny in gear (park for auto, probably 5th for stick) and makes it almost impossible to steal since it's bolted to the bottom of the car in steel. I had a few guys i knew that used to steal cars when they were younger and this is what they recommended and it's what they have in their cars.

Put it this way...my mom has a house in brooklyn where i visit...my supra TT modded, bodykit + Volk rims was never even touched...and i left the car there sometimes months at a time...on the street too mindyou. i also had a steering wheel lock, brake lock, + that tranny lock. stock alarm. PM me for more info, i'd be glad to explain. it'll probably be around $225 installed at a local security shop

man...i hav a bmw and i live in jersey city! im planning on getting a g35 soon but after hearing all these stories, i dont know if its the right move. so far, ive been lucky wit the bmw from being broken into. i try not to leave anything visible in the car when i do park it to deter theives from breaking in. by the way, i live between journal square and st. peter's college. i do see cops drive by often so its a little comforting.

damn, thats not too far from here! what happened to ur ride? i've seen a couple of g35s scattered throughout jc so its not like the its rare to see em around as well as other nicer rides. but still, now im VERY hesitant on getting one afraid this might happen !
